If you work for Social Services or another childcare setting, we can deliver items to your department so you can distribute these items to children and young people you work with.
There is an expectation that you keep a record with basic details of those who have received our items, such as their age, gender, legal status. We will supply you with a monitoring form that must be completed when our items are distributed by your team or department.
We currently provide this service in South Wales only.
Please contact us if you would like more information about how to access our service.
How can we offer this?
As a charity, we rely on donations to be able to deliver our service. We have been fortunate to have received a number of funding grants over the past 3 years, as well as monetary donations from members of the public.
We have received £25,000
from the Big Lottery Fund, £4,000
from Greggs Community Fund, as well as donations from other businesses and community groups.
Birmingham Airport
We have established a working partnership with Birmingham Airport to obtain suitcases for our young people. The airport often accrues new and unused luggage that is left by passengers when travelling. These items may have been left because passengers have exceeded their luggage capacity. Many of the cases are not collected by passengers on their return, and end up having to be disposed of by the airport.
Birmingham Airport supports the work of Bags of Hope UK, and is keen to reduce the amount of waste it produces and negative impact on the environment. The airport has provided the charity will a large number of high quality luggage items which we have donated to children and young people.
